FS: 2007 Triumph Speed Triple –  SMT500PK77J291034 – 30,037 mi – $4,999.00

This very green Speed Triple was brought to us to rescue.  Original owner purchased it new from Triumph of Seattle in April of 2008.  He totally enjoyed it and reliably commuted on it for the first 8 years of ownership, logging up the first 30K.  Life changes ended the need for a commuter and unfortunately, the bike ended up getting parked outside in back yard until this year.  We have service records of local service work performed while in use, including less than 100 miles on new rear tire along with the Triumph recommended routine service records.

SUB moto-service guys just went through it, replaced many cosmetic bits showing corrosion.  The original fuel tank was severely affected by ethanol laden fuel sitting in it and had to be changed. The fuel system was completely cleaned, hoses replaced,  injectors and throttle bodies inspected, along with a new fuel filter.  A complete fresh set of  “Roulette Green” OEM bodywork including a brand new fuel tank was installed.  Along with the cosmetic clean up, we also performed a medium service which included, coolant and all hydraulic systems flushed, over $2200 was spent getting it back to good health.  It’s not cosmetically perfect showroom condition but it is ready for lots more miles of smiles.

Here is what the press had to say:

Naked SportBike, All Dressed Up

Does it surprise one for a moment that the champion of streetfighters comes from the country that originated hooliganism? That English heritage dates back to the 19th century and is both a mark and a badge. While we decidedly pass on the destructive behavior, getting a little rowdy with the throttle inevitably seems to come with the territory when riding this particular high-performance motorcycle.

The Triumph Speed Triple is a motorcycle that epitomizes the streetfighting ethos. The 1050cc in-line 3 is shared with the Sprint ST sport tourer and Tiger adventure bike. But, instead of fairings and bags, the Speed Triple is seriously naked, with its 131 hp engine hanging provocatively from the tubular fare, and unapologetically bulbous twin chrome headlights showing the way. The Speed Triple isn’t just brawny; it is clearly a bit of a bully, to

Since its original introduction in 1994 the Speed Triple has become a true two-wheeled icon. Delivering undiluted attitude and a unique presence on the road, it’s motorcycling in the most direct, rawest form available, and all the better for it.
