This nice looking America was purchased new from Triumph of Seattle in August 2015.  The new owner had just returned to riding and wanted a bike to get back into riding but something not too intimidating but has to have classic lines!   Then this two-tone America caught his eye and the affair began.  He used for daily commuting along with summer get of town rides.  All services have been kept up on time, recently had new tires installed around 300 miles ago.  The America comes with 2 windshields, a low and a tall. Saddlebags were added to carry extra gear.   We ran it through service, gave it a good look over and could no issues, no damage. This bike will make a new owner very happy.

Here are some comments from the press;

Not everyone is searching for the latest in throttle-by-wire electronics and lean-angle-sensing traction control technology. Many of us, in fact, feel that two-wheel cruising is best when it’s kept simple. And the low-frills Triumph America cruiser meets that need perfectly, appealing to internal combustion lovers who don’t want every new innovation.  The aptly named America reflects Triumph’s desire to broaden its cruiser share of the US market.   This Triumph offers just the essentials. In addition to a generous 5.1-gallon fuel tank, the America offers single-disc Nissin brakes front and rear, Metzeler ME880 Marathon tires, and a two-person seat. Claimed weight is 551 lb. If your ideal cruising machine has a windscreen, some luggage capacity and a passenger backrest, opt for the America LT model, which has all of those items standard.

In today’s motorcycle landscape, all the new electronics technology certainly has its place and value, but none of it could be found on the bikes that stole my heart as a teenager. Back then, the appeal of two-wheeled travel was all about operating a simple machine and the thrill of sitting on the outside of the vehicle. With style and grace from across the pond, the Triumph America delivers that simplicity in the form of an attractive American-style cruiser.
